REGULATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN FDF-TREKKING ACTIVITIES

1) Obligations of the participants in the activities

- Participants in the activities are required to comply with the common rules of good behavior and prudence and with all the instructions provided by the person in charge of the same. Otherwise, they may be called to answer for all damages caused by failure to comply with these rules, both towards FDF-Trekking staff, other participants and any third parties.

- Anyone who signs up for the services offered declares, under their own responsibility, that they are in excellent health conditions, that they do not have any potentially dangerous pathologies in the practice of sporting activities and that they are in training suitable for the physical effort required. Any liability of the guides, escorts, instructors, etc. is strictly excluded. of FDF-Trekking in the event of damage resulting from unsuitable physical conditions.

2) During activities

- Participants in the activities are accompanied by qualified personnel (mid-mountain guides, alpine guides, Nordic walking instructors, mountain bike guides, ski instructors, etc.).

- During the outings, the participants must comply with all the instructions given by the conductors who have the right to make the changes they deem most appropriate. They reserve the right to modify the day's programs, at their sole discretion, up to the suspension of the same if the minimum safety conditions are lacking, even in the event that this derives from poor physical preparation, or from inadequate equipment of one or more participants.

- The responsibility of the companions, towards those who participate in the activities and to be considered limited to the duration of the excursion only, therefore excluding travel. Considering the beginning of the activity as the moment in which one begins to walk in a mountain environment, and as the end the moment in which one arrives at the means of transport or where the walk in the mountain environment ends.

- The contract will be considered withdrawal if the participant should voluntarily leave the rest of the group.

- Overnight stays, unless otherwise indicated in the travel program, are intended in shelters, hostels, hotels with accommodations that can vary from double rooms to dormitories with several beds. For overnight stays in a refuge it will be necessary to have a sleeping bag or sheet bag.

- The participant is required to bring an identification document and his health card with him.

3) Participation fees and material rental

- FDF-Trekking does not require membership cards in order to participate in the services offered.

- The cost associated with each single trip includes the professional accompaniment rate in accordance with the law. Unless otherwise indicated, the costs of transport, board and lodging and everything not expressly indicated are excluded from it.

- In activities where participants are given the opportunity to rent technical equipment, they must be returned at the end of the outing. Damage to equipment rented by the participants will result in the person concerned being charged the entire amount necessary for the repair or for the purchase of similar new equipment.

- Travel costs such as the use of own vehicles (petrol, motorways, tolls, etc.) must be divided among the crew members.

4) Times and modalities of adhesion

- For one-day activities, reservations are accepted up to two days in advance (example: if the outing is on a Sunday, reservations can be made until 12.00 on Friday). Cancellations are accepted only by calling the reference number, within 36 hours of the date of the outing (example: if the outing is on a Sunday, cancellation is possible by Friday at 20.00). In case of cancellation after this deadline, the excursion fee must still be paid.

- If you register for an FDF-Trekking activity for the first time, the reservation must be made by telephone on the reference number. This is because we believe it is important to give as precise information as possible about the excursion, to give advice and direct the person to the activity that is most congenial to them. To do this we need to understand the new member's previous experiences, expectations and needs. A "cold" e-mail cannot fulfill this task, therefore we ask you to take a few minutes to have a chat together over the phone.

- For multi-day activities, the registration deadline is not fixed, but varies according to booking needs and will therefore be reported on the trekking form. The reservation will be considered valid only once the requested deposit has been paid. The reservation can be canceled by calling the reference number before the closure of registrations, the date indicated on the form; but the paid deposit will be retained unless the participant himself communicates the name of a substitute. If, on the other hand, the reservation is canceled after the closure of the reservations, the renouncing party will be required to pay the entire participation fee, unless a replacement is found.

- If the activity is canceled for reasons depending on FDF-Trekking, all the money paid up to that moment will be returned.

- Registrations received after the maximum number has been reached will form a waiting list, in the event that some members decide not to participate.

5) Program changes

- The programs of the activities may undergo variations which will be promptly communicated. If these changes are made after registrations have taken place, people already registered will be able to renounce the registration, recovering the amount paid up to then.

- The scheduled activities can also be carried out in the event of rain or snow, provided that, at the sole discretion of the person in charge, the conditions exist for the regular performance of the activity. For example, a snowshoe hike under a snowfall is fascinating, provided there is no danger of avalanches. Otherwise, alternative itineraries will be evaluated and those concerned will be promptly notified.

6) Various information

- Anyone who signs up for the proposed activities of FDF-Trekking is guaranteed by the privacy law which can be consulted on the website.

- The accompaniment of the guide includes insurance coverage such as RCT and reimbursement of rescue/recovery expenses.
While the accident policy is personal. For those interested, we have the possibility of agreeing on an agreement for daily outdoor activity accident insurance (€3 per day per person). Strongly recommended if you do not already have personal accident insurance.
(The civil liability contract is not the container of all the things that can happen in the mountains. Some examples that have nothing to do with the third party liability contract:
1. The customer who stumbles and gets injured during an excursion;
2. While in the shelter, the client gets hurt on his behalf;
3. The customer who participates in an excursion with his dog in tow and loses the dog.
In all these cases, for example, it is not the RC towards third parties that must protect the customer but the guarantees on the person that the customer must activate personally or through us before participating in the activities).

- By registering for the FDF-Trekking activities, the participants give their consent to the publication on the site of photos that could portray them. If this is not appreciated, it must be communicated during the registration phase.

- By registering for any FDF-Trekking activity, this regulation is considered read and accepted by the participant.
