Three days of snowshoeing in the breathtaking Val da Camp, hosted by the beautiful Rifugio Saoseo, located near the stunning natural lake of the same name, nestled in an enchanting forest of massive Swiss pines.

Stunning snow-covered panoramas, frozen lakes, and peaks over 3,000 meters high will accompany us on our excursions into the wild nature of the Swiss Alps.
Throughout the three days, several training sessions will be held on risk awareness in snowy environments and a demonstration of the use of emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe).

Day 1
Arrive by car in Sfazù (Poschiavo) and snowshoe ascent to the Rifugio Saoseo of the Swiss Alpine Club, passing by Lake Saoseo. Dinner and overnight stay at the refuge.

Day 2
Hike through the enchanting Val Mera, admiring the imposing Corn da Camp peak, which dominates the valley’s gentle slopes.
The itinerary is subject to snowpack stability.

Day 3
Ascent to the Val Viola Pass (border with Italy), admiring the fantastic views of the lake of the same name, Piz Paradisin, Corno di Dosdè, and the Val Viola Bormina. Return to the refuge and descent to the cars for the return journey.
The itinerary is subject to snowpack stability.

Elevation gain: approximately 500-600 m+ per day
Duration: 3 days
Packed lunches, dinners at the refuge

Price: €790 to be divided among participants

The fee includes: accompaniment by a UIMLA International Mountain Leader Professional Guide, excursion planning and management, training on proper progression using snowshoes and poles, information on the flora, fauna, and geology of the surrounding area, demonstration of avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe use, client accident insurance, recovery insurance, satellite messaging in case of emergency.

The fee does not include: half board at the Saoseo Refuge, packed lunch, costs for any shared transportation, equipment rental, and anything not included in the “the fee includes” section.

Mandatory equipment: Participants will be sent a list of required equipment.
